Students in the Web Design class spend time learning HTML and
CSS code during the first nine weeks. The work through demonstrations
and trials to apply these concepts. They demonstrate their mastery
of this knowledge by creating a web site about their family. With parental permission, these projects are posted on the school server for all to enjoy.
The second
nine weeks students spend time learning about commerical software.
They use Fireworks and Dreamweaver to help them create web
sites. After a few demonstrations and trials, their first big project is to use Fireworks to create a graphic image for a business of their choice. They use that graphic as the center piece of multiple page business web site. Their second big project is pick a club,
academic department, or athletic
team at Goshen High School and create a web site.
For their final exam students use all their creative and web design knowledge create a web page about themselves and link to their three major projects. |
